BOCA's Environment Committee, headed by Wes Hough, is working with the office of City Councilman Mike Bonin, the Bureau of Street Services, and the Bureau of Sanitation, to try and restore city trash collection of the public receptacles that BOCA had installed in 1998. The cost of collection, which BOCA members have borne for more than a decade through their dues, is proving prohibitively expensive.

Meanwhile, a big thanks to the Bogens, who have restored the receptacle that they agreed to have in front of their house, and which they have maintained and emptied for more than a decade.
